We all toyed with the idea of working from home – well now most of us are seeing that reality. Even though you are no longer sitting in the main office, your skills and knowledge are more valuable than ever.

One of the first things to do is to make sure that all the contact information you have is current. I did this by auditing our message broadcast system. After every school-wide or district wide broadcast is sent out, our provider furnishes us with a report that details the result of the communication, e.g. delivered, opened, answered, etc. Our report downloads as a .csv file which makes it easy to sort – which I did. I looked for the undelivered emails and researched, reached out and confirmed with parents and teachers until every avenue exhausted. Luckily, we were able to resolve all of the parents not contacted!!
